Program Impact and Community Relevance
Crestone’s rural isolation and small population limit access to extracurricular activities, particularly for low-income families. This scholarship program addresses this gap by providing free martial arts training, which builds physical and mental strength, leadership, and community connection.

The $800 award ensures equitable access, while the rollover policy rewards commitment, encouraging students to view martial arts as a long-term journey. By prioritizing progress and interest, the program fosters a culture of perseverance and personal growth, aligning with its mission to empower underserved youth.
